If you can get to the bike follow Hogryder's advice and also see if you can spot the drain for the float bowl and drain the fuel off - that way next spring when you hit the starter button - you will get more or less fresh fuel down the tubes and lighting up the engine!
Keeping the rubber side down through the winter will only be complicated by the thinking about riding as the winter months pass -
